Is OA for You?

If you have ever felt that your relationship with food is out of control, you are not alone. Thousands of people have found a path to recovery through Overeaters Anonymous. Consider these questions to see if our fellowship might be for you:

  • Do you eat when you're not hungry, or even when you are already full?
  • Do you go on eating binges for no apparent reason, sometimes eating until you are stuffed?
  • Do you have feelings of guilt, shame, or remorse after overeating?
  • Do you give too much time and thought to food—planning your next binge?
  • Do you anticipate with pleasure and apprehension the moments when you can eat alone?
  • Do you eat sensible amounts in front of others and then make up for it when you are alone?
  • Is your weight affecting the way you live your life?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are not alone. There is a solution. OA members share their experience, strength, and hope with one another, helping each other recover from compulsive eating behaviors one day at a time.
