Service is the heart of Overeaters Anonymous. In Mid-Hudson OA, we find that by reaching out to others who still suffer, we strengthen our own recovery. Whether it is leading a meeting, managing group outreach, or simply being a sponsor, service gets us out of ourselves and into the fellowship. It is a vital tool that helps us move from isolation to connection, ensuring that the doors of recovery remain open for everyone seeking a new way of life. By giving back what has been so freely given to us, we ensure the continuity of our program and the health of our local community.
